There is no way to explain the sense of anticipation as we pull our cars to the shoulder of the road before turning into Bhukwini. Children run up to the cars singing and dancing -- clearly anticipating our visit. We pull onto the dirt road into Bhukwini, and pass a few waving adults until we get to a crowd large enough to stop the cars and get out. We are greeted with big smiles, handshakes, and hugs, and I begin to feel more at-ease. The real adventure has begun.
